Grizzlies vs. Warriors Game 1 Line Movement

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction:

The Golden State Warriors vs. the Memphis Grizzlies will take place on Sunday night in Memphis. The Warriors sprinted past the Denver Nuggets in round one winning the series with ease, while the Grizzlies were put to their limits in round one knocking off the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Grizzlies inked themselves into the history books, becoming the first team ever to win three games in a series that they trailed by ten points or more in the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies know they can not fall back double-digits in the fourth quarter to these Warriors.

The Warriors are currently the favorite to win the NBA title and for a good reason. They are led by former MVP Steph Curry while getting Klay Thompson and Draymond Green back on the court as well. They added a splash brother in the process with the last name Poole. Jordan Poole is one of the most improved players in all of the NBA, displaying his skill set all season long as the leader in the NBA in free throw percentage and a dead-eye shooter. This guy has more tools than a boy band, and it is a welcoming sight for the Warriors.

The Grizzlies, led by former rookie of the year Ja Morant have proved to be one of the more mentally tough teams in all of the NBA. Their star in round one was former TCU standout, Desmond Bane. Bane was as consistent as anyone leading the way for the Grizzlies while hitting some big-time shots. This is a deep young Grizzlies roster playing with nothing to lose.

I am backing Golden State for the first game, and here is why.

I think the Grizzlies are playing on emotion right now, and this is a quick turnaround. They just won their first playoff series, and for a lot of these guys, it was their first ever. It can be tough to refocus for a game one so fast. The second reason is the Warriors are a different animal than the T Wolves were. The Warriors are one of the best closeout teams in the NBA, and they will not blow leads like the Timberwolves did. If you fall down ten-plus in the fourth to Golden State, they are going to close you out. I believe they are going to be too much in this series on the defensive end for the Grizz. I love the Grizzlies, and they have made me a lot of money this year, but this is a great fade spot after an emotional series with little to no rest.
