Suns vs. Mavericks Game 2 Line Movement

Phoenix Suns vs. Dallas Mavericks Prediction

We had the Suns for game one of this series, and man was that a sweat. The Suns led by fifteen points with just three minutes to go, but the Mavericks went on a big-time run to make the spread a sweat. The spread came down to a wide-open three that Spencer Dinwiddie miss fired on.

The spread for tonight’s game is back where it was for game one making the Suns a six-point favorite. The Suns are still one of the favorites to win the championship, but they know this round will not be easy on them. Luka Doncic was lights out in game 1, dropping forty-five points while shooting 50% from the floor.

Doncic did not get much help in game one from Jalen Brunson or Spencer Dinwiddie, two guys who have been outstanding this postseason. Maxi Kleber was one guy who did step up, hitting four of his first five threes from distance.

The Suns were led by big man Deandre Ayton who has really stepped up scoring the basketball in the postseason. Ayton will have favorable matchups all series against the Mavericks, a team that does not have great size. Devin Booker had a solid game for the Suns as usual, while Chris Paul was quiet scoring the ball; he ran the offense well for Phoenix all night long.

I am going to back the Phoenix Suns once again at this -6 line. I am shocked we are getting such a favorable line again, and I will always back the Suns when I can get them at a two-possession spread facing a team that they are much better than.

Luka went crazy in game one, and the Mavericks still got blown out for the majority of the game. This shows me that they just do not have enough of a supporting cast to beat this Suns team, especially in Phoenix. The Suns are far too much offensively for this Mavericks team, who can really struggle to score the ball at times.

The depth in this matchup is also a huge factor; once Doncic hits the bench, the Mavs will suffer whereas the Sun's bench can give them great minutes when Booker and Paul take a breather. I expect the Suns to limit Luka more tonight and make Mikal Bridges the primary defender on Luka. I hope we don’t have to sweat as much tonight as Monday! Let’s stay hot tonight.
