The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Golden State Warriors on Monday night from Chase Center. We are 3-0 in this series so far, and we will improve that to 4-0 tonight as we get into a key game four.

The Grizzlies got their doors blown off on Saturday night when they played the Warriors, but the loss is the least of their worries. The NBA's most improved player and last year's rookie of the year Ja Morant was injured on a controversial play with Jordan Poole. Morant tweeted out after the game that Poole “broke the code,” referring to what Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said about Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks who injured Gary Payton Jr. and was suspended for game three. Everyone has an opinion on the foul, but the bottom line is Morant is doubtful to play tonight per the Grizzlies injury report.

This has been a great series so far, so this would be a huge blow. I have my own theory that Morant will give it a go, but that is to be seen. The Warriors inked their names into history books on Saturday, putting up one of the best offensive playoff performances of all time. The Warriors scored 142 points while shooting an astonishing 63.1% from the floor. They shot 53.1% from beyond the arc. The Grizzlies will need to steal a road win tonight, or they will have a large mountain to climb. 

I am backing the Grizzlies with the double-digit spread, and here is why.

The first point I want to make is I wouldn’t be shocked if Morant did play. He is going to do everything in his power to play because if they lose this game, it is likely that their season is over. The second point is the Grizzlies had a 20-5 record in the absence of Morant. They are obviously a better team with Morant on the floor, but they still have the guys to keep a game within double digits.

I believe the return of Dillon Brooks will help their defensive energy, and they have guys who can step up on the offensive end. Desmond Bane will have a chance to take over the scoring along with Jaren Jackson Jr. This is a deep Grizzlies roster that has gritty hard-working guys. I believe the line is inflated tonight so let’s take advantage and move to 4-0 in this series.
