NBA Playoff Player Prop Picks From Beyond the Arc: Betting on Jaren Jackson Jr. and Al Horford

The Boston Celtics will be taking on the Milwaukee Bucks tonight and then the Memphis Grizzlies and GOlden State Warriors will get underway later tonight. Here's two three-point plays that I like for today's NBA slate of games.

Jaren Jackson Jr 4+ 3PM +380 (Bet $100 to win $380)

Unfortunately, since we don't have the Devin Booker first quarter auto-bet today, we’ll have to adapt. While there is definitely some uncertainty in this game, with Ja Morant's injury situation still up in the air. The Grizzlies do have one thing going for them, they were actually really really good without Ja Morant in the regular season. While they will surely miss his presence if he doesn't play this game (I personally still think he might play), Tyus Jones will step up as the primary distributor.

Jackson has had a lot of success thus far in the playoffs, especially from beyond the arc. Jackson has gone 4-8, 2-7, and 6-9 this series, seeing a huge uptick in attempts from beyond the arc. With defensive anchor Draymond Green holding down the paint, I expect JJJ to continue to take advantage of these good outside looks he’s getting. If Ja plays, that takes tons of attention off of JJJ, allowing him to keep doing what he’s doing. If Jones plays, he’s a better distributor, and more usage will surely be sent Jackson's way.

Al Horford 4+ 3PM +680 (Bet $100 to win $680)

Let's stick with the longshot theme for this one. Horford has been a huge beneficiary of the Bucks defensive scheme this series. While that defense may have their hands full with Brown, Smart, and Tatum, the veteran center has been dependably knocking down three’s all series long. He’s gone 4-7, 1-5, and 4-9 so far this series playing 36, 37, and 39 minutes. Horford's shot quality has been great, if he continues to aggressively take advantage of these opportunities, he should continue to cash these longshots. I don't foresee any major schematic changes that would drastically impact this bet, so I’m gonna ride with Horford once again. Also played 3+ 3PM for +210, which is a wee bit safer.
