Dallas Mavericks vs. Phoenix Suns Game 6 Prediction

In game six, the Phoneix Suns will battle the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night. This is a win or go home for the hometown Mavericks, who have been led by star guard and the pride of Slovenia, Luka Doncic. The Suns, on the other side of things, have been led by one of the best backcourts in the NBA, featuring Devin Booker and Chris Paul.

This has been a very entertaining series to this point. All five games have been won by the home team. The Suns came into the playoffs as the favorites to win the championship, and they have shown why to this point. The Suns will have an opportunity to return to their second straight western conference finals tonight. They know this will be no easy task as they have lost their first two games in Dallas this series.

The shooting of the Mavericks at home has been lights out led by Dorian Finney-Smith. Finney-Smith, who was undrafted out of the University of Florida, has turned into Ray Allen in Dallas. Davis Bertans is another role player who has really stepped up shooting the three-ball at home for Dallas. This is a team that often lives and dies by the three-ball, which can be a dangerous game.

The Suns know that they will have to bring a focused defensive effort tonight especially guarding the three-ball. Chris Paul will look to have a break-out game after a tough two games in Dallas. He also fouled out for the first time in his playoff career in game four.

We are 4-1 in this series, and tonight we close 5-1. I am backing the Phoenix Suns on the moneyline.

I talk about lines all the time but look at the Philly vs. Miami line. Philly is the favorite at home, and the line is pretty telling. In this game, the Mavericks, despite two home wins, are the dog. I believe this line suggests the Suns.

The Suns are a great close-out team, and they have shown in the past that they can get it done on the road. Chris Paul is the guy I want everyone to watch tonight as I see a huge bounce-back game from him after what happened the last time the Suns played in Dallas. I love Luka Doncic, but I do not believe this Mavericks team can shoot the ball the way they did in games three and four from deep. If Dorian Finney-Smith and Davis Bertans beat us tonight, I’ll tip my cap. Let’s stay hot!
