Luka Doncic has been one of my favorite players to target this postseason due to his incredibly high usage. Luka finished the regular season second in 1Q scoring and I think it's one of the best markets you can possibly attack this postseason. When the lines get sharper and sharper, it's our job to find creative ways to bet on these all-stars.
As the highest usage player remaining in the playoffs, I'm going to continue to attack Doncic. One of the things I like most about his first-quarter bets is the pure volume of 3-pointers he is taking. Since the start of the Suns series, Luka has taken a minimum of seven FGA and three 3PA, going over 9+ first-quarter points in six of eight games, with his misses coming at seven and eight points. While they did finally adjust his number, Luka is still averaging 9.1 1Q points in his playoff career and should continue to play the full first quarter. As for his steals, that may not be the prop that first comes to mind with Luka, but he's been consistent. Luka has 1+ STL in nine of 11 playoff games and 2+ in seven of those games. With a 40+ minute workload, I expect Luka to continue his steal streak today.

Love getting +175 here, especially after DraftKings fixed a lot of the first quarter pricing that was previously off. Luka averaged 3.0 first-quarter rebounds during the regular season, and that's improved to 3.3 during this playoff run, grabbing four in Game 1. Luka is the Mavericks' leading rebounder on the season and considering neither of these teams are the strongest rebounders, I expect Luka to continue to hit this number. Kevon Looney has only started three playoff games (two straight) and in those games recorded three, 11, and four rebounds (that's not a typo, that really says 11). Looney will likely continue to see 8+ first-quarter minutes, and I expect him to continue to cash this prop. I also ended up adding Looney 2+ 1Q Points to this parlay for +285.
