Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat Game 6: The "Why Not" +1003 Same-Game Parlay

I’ve got an SGP I’m liking for tonight’s Game 6 between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. We are not expected to get a lot of scoring tonight, with an implied point total of 202 pts, so I stuck with more of the non-scoring legs when constructing this.

Let’s walk through each of the legs and how we got to +1003 odds. Why not?

Celtics vs. Heat Game 6 Line Movement

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat Game 6 Same-Game Parlay (+1003) (Bet $100 to Win $1003)

Robert Williams Over 1.5 blocks (-184)

The “Time Lord” has now had at least 2 blocks in seven straight games, and his defensive impact has been felt in his time back from injury. I like Williams to stay aggressive on the defensive end and keep his streak of games with over 1.5 blocks alive in a game where they can close out the Heat.

Al Horford over 2.5 alt assists (-188)

This one is simple and sweet. Horford has had 3 or more assists in then straight games – yes ten. Give us Horford for some consistency. For something he has done in 10 straight games, these are pretty solid odds.

Marcus Smart 4+ assists (-440)

Smart has gone over 4 assists in 8 of his last 10 games. He is averaging 6.7 assists per game vs. Miami, and I expect that to continue tonight in a game where they can put away the Heat.

Jayson Tatum 6+ rebounds (-192)

Another model of consistency, Tatum has cleared 6 rebounds in 8 of his last 9 games. He averages 8 rebounds per game vs. the Heat and had 8 and 12 rebounds in his last two. Let’s welcome Mr. Tatum to the fold.

Jaylen Brown 3+ 3pm (-196)

I mentioned this the other day as a system play, and Brown went out and hit 5 threes in Game 5. He shoots the ball very well against the Heat, who are near the top in three-pointers allowed. Brown has 3 more three-pointers in 7 of his 8 games against the Heat this year.

Jimmy Butler over 4.5 alt rebounds (-340)

Jimmy Butler has been inconsistent scoring the basketball of late, but he has been consistent on the glass. Butler has 5 or more rebounds in 8 of his last 10 games. I expect Butler to be aggressive on the glass in an elimination game.

PJ Tucker over 3.5 alt rebounds (-550)

Tucker grabbed 11 rebounds in Game 5 against the Celtics and has gone over 5.5 rebounds in 3 of his last 5 games. He is starting tonight and has pulled in four or more rebounds in 5 of his last 6 games. In an elimination game, I expect Tucker to be hustling all over the floor.
