Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction
There is plenty of star power in this matchup on both sides. The Warriors are led by Stephen Curry, the most recent Finals MVP, who is averaging 33.3 points per game through the Warriors’ first three games. Devin Booker has led the Phoenix Suns with an average of 32 points per game this season. Both have been efficient leaders for their squads. Watching the two go head-to-head could easily be the most entertaining part of this game because when both of these players are hot, they’re some of the most unstoppable players in the league.Â
Both these two teams have a very solid chance of leading the Western Conference in wins, and there is a reason that the line is at 1.5 in favor of the Suns. While the Warriors might have the better roster overall, the Suns are still an incredible team and have shown they can play great in the regular season.Â
The Suns, again, are an incredible defensive team. They’ve got a great system and great talent to fill that system. They’re going up against a great offensive team that plays at a great pace. It’s going to be a great matchup against two great teams.Â
If the Warriors' offense is going to be slowed down by any team, it’s going to be the Phoenix Suns. The Warriors have lived by scoring in the 120 points range per game, while the Suns have scored in the ballpark of 110 points per game. The Dallas Mavericks, who are also a fast-paced, high-scoring team also only scored 105 points against the Suns.Â
The Warriors are coming off a win against the Kings, but they only defeated them 130-125. The Kings are much less talented than the Suns, and the Suns are just as capable of putting together a huge offensive game, as their role players can string together more than enough points.Â
If Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul play to their strengths and do it efficiently, the Suns will be incredibly hard to beat in this game. When both of those two are giving Devin Booker their best, his game is opened up to the max. Not to mention, they’ll have their home crowd backing them against the defending champs.Â
Of course, the Warriors are playing solid this season and can attack any team from multiple angles, as their roster runs eight to nine players deep in terms of players who can come in and make an incredible impact.Â
The Suns are 1.5-point favorites and mostly because they’re the home team coming off an incredibly impressive win against the Clippers, whereas the Warriors bounced back from a loss with a close win against a not-impressive squad.Â
The total points set for this game is 226 points, and the two teams both have rosters that can explode on offense. Again, the Warriors' offense is going to force the Suns to play slightly faster than normal, so the over on the total points seems like the right bet.Â
