Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies Prediction

D'Angelo Russell Over 6.5 Assists (+100) (Bet $100 to Collect $200) Click here for the best odds, available at FanDuel

We're going to FanDuel for this one, but if you want to go to DraftKings or BetMGM, they have the same exact number and price. We're all good. Still, if you go to FanDuel, you can do ladders, so that's why I'm quoting them. Currently, we're looking at 8+(+180), which is fun, and 10+ (+480), which is even more fun. At the end of the day, it's all in play for those who have the stones to play.

This looks like the exact kind of line the books put out for the due people every day. One that is as easy as easy can be and there for people who need a winner. Think life vest on a cruise ship. You see them just hanging around, and you don't think anything of them on most days. But when shit gets real, where's your crowd? Correct, running to grab a life vest. Well, shit is getting real, so we need to grab a vest.

It's so hard to trust this D'Angelo Russell guy. There are nights when he looks like a legit superstar and others where he looks like he's never played basketball before. It's bad. But in his defense, I'm pretty sure we've been betting him to score when we should have been betting him to pass. Over his last six games, Russell has finished with at least seven assists in four of them. He finished with five and six in the other two, so it's not like he's just dogging it out there. The guy can only do so much. He just needs the right opponent.

I'm guessing he has the right opponent tonight in the Memphis Grizzlies. We should be good if the Timberwolves don't get their asses kicked. The Grizzlies have a few guys out tonight, so that's a start. On top of that, for some reason, opposing point guards see a crazy amount of potential assists against these guys. De'Aaron Fox had 18 the other night, while Chris Paul had 15 in the previous game. Even Draymond Green had 19 potential assists last time Memphis took the court. At the end of the day, Russell definitely has a shot at a spike game tonight, and we only need seven. Feels right.
