Wednesday, March 15 NBA Player Props
Russell Westbrook Under 18.5 Points + Assists (-115) (Bet $115 to collect $215)
*Best Odds Available at DraftKings*
Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue has finally arrived at the same conclusion that many of us did weeks ago: The Russell Westbrook experiment is not going to work.
Westbrook hasn't logged a single fourth-quarter minute in each of the Clips' last two games. And his last four games with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are what really set off alarms. Russ is averaging 13.3 points + assists in just 27.0 minutes per game over his last four contests with Kawhi.
Most importantly, the usage is not there for the former MVP. He's only taken 8.8 field goal attempts and 1.5 free throw attempts per game during this stretch. And he's posting just 5.5 assists on 10.0 potential assists per game during this stretch. It's becoming clear that Russ won't be one of LA's primary offensive creators moving forward, and these lines likely won't be this high much longer.
Klay Thompson Over 21.5 Points (-120) (Bet $120 to collect $220)
*Best Odds Available at FanDuel*
It took him a while to get going, but Klay Thompson has been an offensive juggernaut over the last few months. Whether playing with Stephen Curry or without him, Klay's production has been incredible.
Klay has cashed this over in 27 of 39 games since December 1st, averaging 24.9 PPG. And he's still hit the over in 13 of 19 games alongside Steph Curry during this stretch. In five games since Curry's return from his most recent injury, Thompson has scored at least 22 points in four of these five contests, averaging 23.8 PPG.
The 6-foot-6 splash brother has an 80% hit rate over his last ten games, which is just too good to pass up. He's shooting the lights out right now, and this is a great spot to back him for a primetime showdown against the Clippers.
DeMar DeRozan Over 23.5 Points (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210)
*Best Odds Available at BetMGM*
The Chicago Bulls have struggled this season, but they're now in must-win territory. Only 15 games are remaining on Chicago's schedule, and they're currently tied with the Wizards for the 10-seed in the Eastern Conference. And they face the Sacramento Kings' 26th-ranked defense this evening. It's a perfect storm for DeMar DeRozan.
With the Bulls at home, this game has just a 1-point spread. Given how desperate the team is and the increased likelihood of a close game, we should see a heavy workload for DeRozan. He's putting up 25.0 PPG this season, but that skyrockets to 28.3 PPG in games where he plays at least 36 minutes.
DeMar has played 36+ minutes in 31 games this season. He's scored at least 23 points in 24 of them. In a fast-paced, high-scoring game, everything points toward a 25-plus-point outing from the 6-time all-star.
