Ohio State vs. Maryland
The Ohio State Buckeyes travel to College Park, Maryland, trying to extend their hot streak against the Terps in a Big 10 battle on Monday night. The Buckeyes have won four straight, two of which came against top-10 teams.
OSU has been playing very good basketball as of late, coming off a nice 89-85 road win at Iowa last Thursday. They were led by a balanced attack of E.J. Liddle, Kyle Young and Duane Washington Jr., who each scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Maryland is coming off a brutal 55-50 road loss to Penn State, where they shot just 35.4% from the field, including a 3-for-17 mark from beyond the arc.
Conventional logic would say to ride the hot hand in this one. Still, I think this is a big letdown spot for the Buckeyes. I expect Maryland to come out hungry tonight and really cause some problems for the Buckeyes. Coach Turg will have a game plan for the Buckeyes, so I’m taking the points in this conference battle.
