Watch below to see Drew's Picks:
Last time we saw Drew on OddsChecker, he was using a pair of mid-major picks to go 2-0 and bring in some profit. Today, Drew goes back to the mid majors, starting with Morehead State vs. UT Martin.
Morehead State and Tennessee-Martin both come to us from the Ohio Valley Conference. Morehead State is 2nd in the standings with an overall record of 16-7 and a 13-3 mark in the OVC. As for UT Martin, they’re 7-14 overall, 5-12 in the conference and losers of three straight coming into Saturday.
Morehead State is led by a balanced offensive attack. Johni Broome is the team’s leading scorer, averaging 12.6 points per game. Not far behind are Devon Cooper and Skyelar Porter, who average 11.5 and 11 points per game, respectively.
Morehead State, despite being one of the best teams in the conference, is coming into Saturday’s game following a loss to Belmont, who is 17-0 in OVC play.
UT Martin’s scoring attack is led by junior forward Cameron Holden. Holden averages a team-best 14.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. When these two teams met earlier in the year, Holden put up 16 points, but the Skyhawks lost, 76-44.
Drew’s second pick of the day comes to us, once again, from the OVC, as Murray State takes on SIUE laying a massive 17 points. Still, that hasn’t scare Drew off of backing the Racers.
KJ Williams leads the way for Murray State, averaging 16 points and 9 rebounds per game this season. In the last meeting between these two teams, Williams scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in an 86-57 win. That game was played this past Monday.
