Wisconsin dominated 8th seed UNC in their first round matchup. Wisconsin was white hot from 3 and UNC had no answer. Baylor holds a few statistical advantages in this game. Baylor ranks 1st in 3 point shooting %, 40th in 2 point shooting %, and 3rd in Offense Effective FG %. Wisconsin ranks 57th, 286th, and 179th in these categories. Baylor forces teams to speed up and be uncomfortable. The Bears rank 5th in Steals and 3rd in Defense Turnover %.

I think this is a going to be a statement game for Baylor. People have been saying they aren’t the same dominate team they were before their Covid stoppage and those people are wrong. Baylor’s guards will be the difference in this contest. They are bigger and more physical and should force Wisconsin’s smaller guards into very difficult shots. I also expect a deeper Baylor team to ratchet up the pressure and force Wisconsin to play at a fast tempo that they aren’t comfortable with. The trio of Macio Teague, Davion Mitchell, and Jared Butler will be way too much for the Badgers to handle on both ends of the floor Sunday afternoon. Best of luck!
