March Madness Upset Predictions: Second Round Underdog Parlay Picks
Underdog victories are what the NCAA Tournament is all about. Nothing beats seeing a big school crash out we've already had some memorable wins, my personal highlight being #1 seed Illinois getting dumped out by Loyola Chicago.
Before we get stuck in to the parlay, I also what to remind you that it's the final day to take advantage of DraftKings' underdog promotion, in which they're giving all new customers +6400 odds on your choice of underdog to win their game today. You can find out more about that promotion at the bottom of the page.
3- Leg Parlay @ +1110 - $50 Wager Wins $605
Leg 1: Colorado ML @ +105
Colorado come into this game as my favorite team to cause an upset today. I've already written a picks piece going in-depth on that game here.
I won't go into it in too much depth but my belief in the Buffaloes is based on their incredible shooting. They've been so dangerous from three, which combined with their almost faultless scoring from the free throw line makes them an underrated team.
They're not the best team defensively but given how FSU struggled in their first round game I think they're likely to cause an upset here.
Leg 2: Ohio ML @ +195
Creighton are 5.5 point favorites but Ohio have a real shot here in my view. Their seeding no doubt takes into account their poor performances in December and January, in which one eight-game stretch saw them only manage 51.6% of field goals.
Recently though, they've been very tasty. They've improved steadily and managed to perform well against superior teams like Virginia on Saturday, and Buffalo in the MAC Tournament final, when those better teams have struggled. The Bluejays are deserved favorites but they failed to cover the spread in round one, while the Bobcats smashing their status as 7-point underdogs by securing a win.
Leg 3: Kansas ML @ +105
This is a close one with USC coming into the game as only one point favorites. Kansas, despite being underdogs are the higher seeds, being ranked 3, compared to the Trojans who are 6th seeds.
The Jayhawks didn't cover the spread when they beat Eastern Washington but despite defensive struggles they looked incredibly threatening offensively. They had five different players putting up double digit points, showcasing an offense which is diverse in their ability to harm you.
USC were ranked 173rd nationwide at defending the three, something which would concern me against a well rounded offense like Kansas, even if they aren't elite in that field. The Trojans defense is top tier but I think this could be a bad matchup for them and I'm taking the Jayhawks to secure the W.
