THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IS HERE. The matchup we have all been waiting for. We get the 1 seed Gonzaga Bulldogs vs the 1 seed Baylor Bears. Hold on, this will be the best matchup we get all year. We all know these two teams can flat out get after it. Can the Zags finish the season unbeaten and take home the trophy?
Gonzaga is 31-0 this year under coach Mark Few and head to the title game after J Suggs drilled a wild buzzer beating 3 pointer to send the UCLA Bruins packing. Suggs, Timme, Kispert, and Ayayi are absolute bucket getters trying to finish off this amazing season. We have seen Drew Timme and his mustache put on an absolute clinic in the paint all tournament long. This dude is a legend. Jalen Suggs is a dawg and will be tougher than anyone on the court. The Zags don’t have a deep bench outside of their all-star starting 5.
Baylor is led by their 3 guard combo in Butler, Teague, and Mitchell. These guys can score and sit down and lock you up on defense as well. The Bears roll 8 deep and those bench guys would be starters at about any other team in the nation. Outside their 3 guard combo, the Bears start Mark Vital and Flo Thamba. Coming off the bench they get Mayer, Flagler, and Tchamwa Tchatchoua. Baylor absolutely throttled Houston in the Final Four, but partially due to Houston not even showing up in the first half.
This game is going to be FAST. Both teams play at such a high pace it will look like a track meet. Whatever stats you have in mind for this game, throw them away because it’s the Natty Title baby. Its going to come down to heart and who wants it more. Vegas has this line set at 4 for a reason. The Zags are that good. Im going to back the Zags to complete the perfect season and take home the title. LETS GO DAWGS!
