The first game I will be attacking on today’s slate will be a battle featuring George Washington of the Atlantic 10 Conference and Maryland of the Big 10. These teams both won their first games and will look to stay unbeaten tonight on the young season. Maryland was once again a competitive team a season ago, finishing tied with the best record in a dominant Big 10. They ended the season 14-6 in Conference play while losing just one nonconference game and ending the season playing to the tune of a 24-7 overall record.
On the other side of things, George Washington found themselves towards the bottom of the A10, finishing just 6-12 in the Conference and 12-20 overall. The expectations again of George Washington will be pretty low as they will look at a reasonably new roster via the transfer portal. Maryland will be one of the more experienced teams bringing back veterans Eric Ayala and Donta Scott. The Terps also made a splash in the transfer portal, adding former Rhode Island star Fatts Russell and Georgetown standout Qudus Wahab. The play I will be going with here will be the first half under. The pace that Maryland will present will favor this greatly and their ability to defend one through five. I do not see George Washington getting to 30 here, and I think the Maryland offense will be limited in scoring due to their pace.

The next play I am looking at will take place on the Island tonight. The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors will be facing the Northern Colorado Bears. This will be a tournament game in Hawaii tonight and should be a very competitive game. Hawaii will be on a back-to-back tonight as Northern Colorado comes into this basketball game as the more rested team.
Northern Colorado is coming to an impressive win over Pacific on Tuesday night, and they will look to continue their winning ways tonight against Hawaii. The star player of the Bears to watch tonight will be Dyland Kountz. Kountz is a gifted scorer and playmaker and will need to step up for the Bears tonight. I love this sport for Northern Colorado tonight as the more rested and talented team will get it done vs. Hawaii tonight.Â

My final pick here will be San Jose State +6 -110. I like the dog here at home as San Jose State will feature a new-look team this season via the transfer portal and a head coaching change. San Jose State brought in Ohio State transfer Ibrahima Diallo and Shon Robinson from Ole Miss, who they will look to bolster their roster this season. Tim Miles will take over as the head coach for the Spartans and look to get them back to winning ways this season. CS Fullerton is a solid team, but I am comfortable fading them here tonight in this spot as a six-point favorite. I believe it is far too many. I could see San Jose State winning this outright as well.
