College Basketball Picks: Monday's 3 Best Bets From Across the Country

Providence vs. Wisconsin Prediction

Providence vs. Wisconsin odds

I am back with my best bets for College Basketball after another profitable slate yesterday as we ended a lovely 9-2-1 week on these picks! The first pick I am looking for today will be one of the best games tonight, in my opinion. This will be a battle between the Big East product in the Providence Friars and the Big 10's Wisconsin Badgers. This will be a neutral site game tonight, and the Badgers are currently a six-point favorite over the Friars tonight. This is a game I am going to be backing to a dog in the Providence Friars. I believe this line should be closer to 2.5/3 and that the Friars have a great opportunity to win this outright tonight. This is an experienced bunch for head coach Ed Cooley as they bring back much of their roster from last season outside of star guard David Duke. Nate Watson is back and will be an X factor tonight for Providence as the Friars also added Indiana transfer Al Durham via the transfer portal. Wisconsin will look to their guard duo in Johnathan Davis and veteran guard Brad Davidson to carry the load tonight. This will be a very competitive game start to finish but give me the dog with the points in this spot tonight.

Illinois vs. Marquette Prediction

Illinois vs. Marquette odds

The second play I am looking at tonight will be a matchup between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Marquette Golden Eagles. Marquette saw a lot of turnover in the offseason as the Golden Eagles made a splash and signed head coach Shaka Smart to a contract to lead this Golden Eagle team. The Golden Eagles quickly looked to improve their roster and did so in the transfer portal as they added star guard Daryl Morsey from Maryland. Morsey has been outstanding to start the season, leading Marquette a 2-0 record while scoring over twenty points in both contests. The Fighting Illini again come into this season as a top fifteen team in the nation. Led by Coach Brad Underwood, this is a hard-nosed team that will compete night in and night out. The Illini did lose star guard to the draft in Iyo Dusomu; however, they return stars from last season’s team who saw themselves end as a number one seed in March Madness. Andre Curbelo and Trent Fraizer will return and lead the Illini along with star big man Kofi Cockburn. Kofi was suspended for the first three games this season, and he will finish his suspension by missing tonight’s game. The play I am going with will again be a first-half under. This total is too high at seventy as the Illini presents one of the nation’s best defenses, and I believe Marquette is a very talented defense. Illinois is missing the offensive production of Cockburn, and their pace has been down a bit. I also think Marquette will play with a slower pace early and use the shot clock for most possessions. This number should be a few points lower. I believe we sneak this one in under the number.

Illinois vs. Marquette Pick

  • Pick: Illinois/Marquette 1H under 70 @ -117

North Texas vs. Buffalo Prediction

North Texas vs. Buffalo odds

The final play I will attack tonight will be a showdown between the Buffalo Bulls and the North Texas Mean Green. Buffalo comes into this game sporting a record of 0-1 after losing to the Michigan Wolverines last week. North Texas comes into this game playing to the tune of a 1-0 record. This is a game I am again backing the dog in the Buffalo Bulls. Buffalo is the best team in the MAC and one of the best offenses in all of the nation, led by star Jeeneath Williams who dropped twenty-two points against one of the best teams in the county in the Michigan Wolverines. This is a solid bunch for North Texas, and this is a home game for North Texas tonight, making them a slight favorite. This is a line. However, I am jumping all over the dog and willing to ride the more talented team in this spot on the road tonight.

North Texas vs. Buffalo Pick
