College Basketball Picks: Monday's Best Bets Across the Country
Fresno State vs. Pepperdine Prediction
I am back with my three best bets for college Basketball this Monday!
We have had a great run in November so far and will look to keep it up tonight. I hope you like to stay up late for this first one as the Fresno State Bulldogs take on the Pepperdine Waves. Pepperdine comes into this basketball game with a 2-3 record on the young season. The Fresno State Bulldogs enter tonight's game with a perfect 3-0 record.
This is a game in which I like the Pepperdine Waves to bounce back, coming off their worst loss of the 2021 season. Pepperdine is a team who will have to be crisp early as they have struggled to play from behind this season, but when they come out hot early, they have been able to hold off opposing teams' runs.
I think the Bulldogs have overperformed a bit in this young season, supporting that record of 3-0. Orlando Robinson has been the go-to guy for the Bulldogs, and he has answered pretty much every call so far. Robinson averages a team-high twenty points per game while ripping down a team-high eleven rebounds and shooting over 54%. Pepperdine will have to slow Robinson down tonight if they want to win this game. This is a get-right spot for Pepperdine tonight, and I believe seven points is far too many for this solid bunch. I will be riding the home dog.

Northwestern vs. Providence Prediction
The next game I'm looking at is a battle between a few power conference foes as the Northwestern Wildcats take on the Providence Friars. This is a Providence team that I love this season as I am a big fan of their head coach, Ed Cooley. Cooley is one of the better coaches in the nation, in my opinion, and has a very talented bunch this season, led by senior Nate Watson and star guard Jared Bynum.
This Providence team is scrappy, will present one of the best defenses in the Big East this season and will be able to compete night in and night out, mainly due to their defense. The Friars also made a significant move in the transfer portal when they landed star guard Al Durham, formerly of the Indiana Hoosiers. Durham will carry a load of the scoring for this Providence bunch while also bringing hard-nosed defense and leadership.
This Northwestern team is scrappy and will be competitive in many games this season as well. Northwestern did lose one of their best scorers in Miller Kopp, who transferred to Indiana. However, this is still a solid group that Providence will have to be well prepared for. If they want to be competitive in this game, Pete Nance and Boo Buie will be names to look out for tonight for the Cats. I think the size of the Friars matches up well with Pete Nance, and the solid defensive guard play will limit Buie in this contest. I will be backing the Friars tonight as a slight dog in this spot.

College of Charleston vs. Oklahoma State Prediction
My final best bet of the day will feature a first-half under, and how could it not? This battle concerns the College of Charleston and Oklahoma State. This will be a matchup between a couple of one-loss teams as the Cowboys come into the game playing to the tune of a 4-1 record while College of Charleston comes in sporting a 3-1 record, with their only loss to North Carolina. This is a solid team who will be a bit of a test tonight for the Cowboys. This is an excellent number for a first-half under here as it is currently set at 72 with -110 juice. The Cowboys present one of the best defenses in the nation, and the Cowboys play with a controlled tempo that will do this first half under big favors. I do not see how College of Charleston scores more than thirty first-half points here tonight, and I believe the Cowboys' pace supports this under. I am prepared to sweat out another first half under with all of you!
