College Basketball Picks: The 3 Best Bets For Wednesday Night's Games
Maryland vs. Virginia Tech Prediction
Maryland vs. Virginia Tech odds
We have a loaded college basketball slate today, and I can not wait to dive into this and give you all my three best bets of the night. We had a great November run on College Basketball, and now it is time to run it back in December, starting today! The first play I'm looking at today will be an affair between a pair of power conference teams. The Virginia Tech Hokies from the ACC will head into Maryland to face off against the Terps tonight in this ACC vs. Big 10 showdown.
Virginia Tech has had a solid start to their campaign, getting out to a 5-2 record overall but losing their last two games, including a one-point loss to Xavier. Maryland, on the flip side, has struggled a bit out of the gate, starting their season ranked as a top twenty team but beginning December unranked after a few losses.
This is a game tonight. I will be backing the home team in the Maryland Terps on the short line. The Terps were my sleeper pick to win the Big 10 this season due to their experience. The Terps returned stars Eric Ayala and Donta Scott while also landing one of the best players in the transfer portal, Fatts Russell from Rhode Island. This is a team that will be well prepared at home and looks to prove a point tonight against a well-coached Virginia Tech team. Maryland will bounce back nicely after their loss to Louisville tonight on home court.

Michigan vs. North Carolina Prediction
Michigan vs. North Carolina odds
The second play I am eyeing up tonight is again a power conference battle. The Michigan Wolverines will travel and face the North Carolina Tar Heels in what we expect to be one of the season's best games.
Michigan is coming off a great season, seeing themselves as one of the top teams in the nation, while North Carolina will look to rebound after one of their worst seasons in the last decade, missing March Madness.
This is a solid North Carolina team who was projected pre-season to finish in second place in the ACC, behind only the number one team Duke. Michigan has struggled of late after entering this season as a top ten team. The Wolverines have lost two of their last four games and will be tested again tonight.
I will be backing the road favorite here on the moneyline in the Wolverines. This is still a top-ten team in the county, and I believe they hold a massive advantage inside playing thru Hunter Dickinson. The shooting of Michigan is due for improvements, and they are the superior defensive team in this matchup tonight. I believe their ability to defend one through five will be the difference in this game, turning over North Carolina and leading to easy chances on offense.

Texas Tech vs. Providence Prediction
Texas Tech vs. Providence odds
The final pick of the night will concern the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Providence Friars. My followers know I love this Providence team, and I am a perfect 5-0 in Providence games, either backing them or fading them, so the streak is on the line tonight.
Texas Tech comes into this game with a perfect record despite being projected to finish toward the bottom of the Big 12 after losing head coach Chris Beard and their two best players from a season ago in Kyler Edwards and Mac McClung.
The Friars have been great this season, playing to a 6-1 record with their only loss being to Virginia. This is a game I am backing the dog and my Providence Friars; they have no business being the dog at home tonight facing a Texas Tech team who is playing much better than their record would suggest. I believe the Red Raiders regress tonight, and Nate Watson and company pull out this win.

- Pick: Providence +3 @ -110
