College Basketball Picks: Best Bet for Ohio State vs Indiana

We are back with a college basketball slate on this Thursday night! We have been rolling this week with a 5-1 record so far and will build on this today. We are looking at a mid-sized slate but some great games on the slate overall.

Ohio State vs Indiana Prediction

Ohio State vs Indiana Odds

The first play I wanted to get into today is a battle between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers come into this game playing to the record of 10-3 overall while Ohio State is working on a record of 9-2 overall, good for thirteenth in all of the nation. These teams both come in representing the Big Ten, and they will look to make some noise in the conference all season.

The Buckeyes present two of the best big men in all of the nation in Ej Liddel and Zede Key. However, Indiana will match up very well with the Buckeyes as they have two of the best big men in the conference. Trayce Jackson-Davis is one of the best players in all of the county scoring 19.3 points per game while rebounding 8.2. This is a well-oiled machine for the Hoosiers this season under new head coach Mike Woodson, and this is a big conference game at home tonight. The Buckeyes will look to play spoiler on the road tonight and pull the upset as a three-and-a-half-point underdog in this game.

The play I am turning to in this game will be to back the short home favorite in the first half at the minus two line. When we look on paper, Ohio State is the better basketball team, but in this case, Indiana matches up beautifully with them. The big man match-up I mentioned favors the Hoosiers if you ask me as they present the duo of Trace Jackson Davis and Race Jackson. Indiana also improved their guard play over the last season as they landed Xavier Johnson, formerly of Pitt, and Miller Kopp, formerly of Northwestern.

These two guards have been a huge plus on the season for Mike Woodson and company, and they will have to make an impact and outplay the Ohio State guards tonight. I want to mention that this is a very difficult environment to play in. Indiana is a great atmosphere for the home team, and this will be a big advantage for them in this game tonight. I believe they do cover the full game as well, but with the intensity, they come out with tonight, the best play for this game is to back the Hoosiers in the first half on the short number. I will ride the home team here in this game!
