Ohio State vs. Wisconsin Prediction
Back on December 11, Ohio State absolutely dominated against Wisconsin, winning 73-55 at home. For Wisconsin, it was basically the "Johnny Davis Show", as he scored 24 points. The other 60 percent came from the rest of the team. Clearly, that wasn't enough to be Ohio State. The Badgers have been the "Jonny Davis Show", practically all year long. But Ohio State had answers on the other end, with EJ Liddell adding 28 points in 31 minutes. Tonight's game should be the exact same battle. Davis is averaging 22.3 points for Wisconsin and Liddell is averaging 20.1 points for Ohio State. The Buckeyes are the much better offense. As a team, the Buckeyes are shooting an effective field goal percentage of 56.7 percent while knocking down 39.2 percent of threes and 55.1 percent shot of shots inside. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Wisconsin doesn't take the best shots, shooting an effective field goal percentage of 47.2 percent. The Badgers have hit just 29.6 percent from long range and 48.8 percent from inside the arc. Yet, despite that poor shooting, Wisconsin has just two losses on the year. Eventually, it'll all catch up to Wisconsin, but so far, the defense has handled business to keep things tight. Wisconsin doesn't turn the ball over on offense and continues to rebound at a high rate on the defensive end while limiting opponents at the foul line. If that continues, Wisconsin will win plenty more games. However, -3.5 points for Wisconsin is just a little much for me. Ohio State already defeated Wisconsin by nearly 20 points in the first game. While this game should be a bit closer, I still like Ohio State and the 3.5 points.
