College Basketball Picks: 2 Best Bets for Thursday's Games

It is time for a couple of college basketball games on this Thursday night, and I found a couple of gems for us. We should have had another sweep last night, but we did have our worst beat of the season with Alabama's first half -1.5. Alabama led by five points with two seconds, and LSU hit a three-pointer and got fouled to get a four-point play. After that awful luck, we are due for a couple of beats and a nice sweep on today's slate.

Indiana vs. Purdue Prediction - 7:00 pm ET

The first play I am looking at is going to be a Big Ten rivalry as the Purdue Boilermakers will take on their rival in the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers enter play with a 13-4 record and look like a team ready to make a run in March. Indiana has been led by star big man Trace Jackson Davis. Jackson Davis has been outstanding for the Hoosiers this season, and he will have a battle tonight against two of the best big men in the nation in Zach Eddy and Trevion Williams. This is a heated rivalry, and I expect this to be an outstanding game tonight. The play I am going to within this one is going to be to back the home team in the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers come into this one playing great basketball, but I think they match up incredibly well with Purdue. Their big man combo of Trace Jackosn-Davis and Race Thompson should be able to compete with Purdue's dominant big man duo. This is a Purdue team who is more talented; no one will deny that, but I do think as far as matchups across the board, they match up pretty well. The second reason is that this is a home game for Indians. This place will be rocking and a tough atmosphere for Purdue to play in. I am going to fade the world here and take Indian in a game I believe is a trap line.

Oregon State vs. Washington Prediction - 11:30 pm ET

The second play of the night, I am going out to the west coast as the Washington Huskies will battle against the Oregon State Beavers. The Beavers come into this game sporting g a record of 3-13 overall, while the Washington Huskies enter play with a record of 8-7. Oregon State started their season slow last year and somehow won the Pac 12 tournament. The crazier thing was their march madness run that they put together. They returned a few guys from that team, including sharpshooter Jordan Lucas, the Beavers' best player this season. Washington has been about as average as you could be this season and will have a chance to get a road win tonight. I am trusting the three-win team tonight, and while that's a little scary, this line is telling me the tale. I think Oregon State is a better team than their record indicates, as they almost beat Oregon and played USC down to the wire. Them getting Washington tonight at home seems like the perfect time to back the Beavers. Let's get a sweep tonight!
