Oklahoma vs. West Virginia Prediction: Can Anyone Guard Taz Sherman?
It is time for college basketball on this beautiful Wednesday slate. There are a lot of games we could talk about today, but I found one, in particular, that is going to make us rich. The Oklahoma Sooners travel to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers, led by legendary head coach Bob Huggins. These teams both come into this game on losing streaks, and this will be a massive game for two teams with hopes to make a run towards March Madness.

Oklahoma vs. West Virginia Prediction
Oklahoma made a few moves in the offseason, including a head coaching splash when they landed former Loyola Chicago head coach Peter Moser to take things over. They also were fairly active in the transfer portal, looking to bring in experience on the team. Oklahoma started the season with a pretty good record, but the recent slide has the Sooner faithful very concerned.
For West Virginia, they knew coming into this season that they would have some struggles during the year, but their issues this season have come away from home. They have not been able to get on any kind of streak due to their woes on the road. This team, however, has been solid on their home floor, and they will look to continue their good fortunes tonight.
I will be backing the home team tonight in the West Virginia Mountaineers, and here is why. The first reason I'm on them is I do believe they are the more talented team here overall and will have the best player on the court in guard Taz Sherman. Sherman is scoring around 19 points per game, and the Sooners will have no one who can guard him for a full forty minutes.
This year, the Sooners' best player has been big man Tanner Groves, who is a transfer. Groves has been scoring 12.7 points per game, shooting over 55 percent from the floor on the campaign. The advantage here tonight for West Virginia is they can force some doubles into the post against Grooves and force the guards to beat them, the weaker point of this Oklahoma team. The way these two teams match up tonight does favor the Mountaineers at most positions, particularly the guard position.
The second reason I love this spot for West Virginia is they will be on their home floor facing a team that is struggling right now. This is one of the toughest places to play in college basketball, and the fans will have it rocking tonight. Trusting a struggling road team in this spot just sounds like a recipe for disaster. West Virginia has been significantly better as a home team this year with an overall record of 10-1, and their only loss came to one of the best teams in the nation in the Baylor Bears. I am going to trust the better coach and team on their home floor tonight. Let's cash in on another college basketball bet!
