St. Johns vs Providence Prediction: Backing the Red Storm
Tuesday night hoops return, and what a great slate we have for all of you tonight. There will be a lot of power conference top twenty-five schools in act4ion tonight, so if you are a college basketball junkie, kick back and enjoy this slate. The play I want to get into is going to be a Big East affair between the red-hot Providence Friars and the St. Johns Red Storm.

St. Johns vs Providence Prediction
Providence has been the best team in the big east so far this season, led by big man Nate Watson and transfer Al Durham. Providence is sporting an overall record of 18-2 this season after entering the year as an unranked team. Head coach Ed Cooley has called this team his best team during his tender at Providence.
They will be a team playing in March, and if you have tailed these articles this season, you know Providence has been to us. St Johns has been average this year, sporting a record of 11-8, but they will need to get some big conference wins to have a resume for March. This is one of the fastest-paced teams in all of the nation played at an NBA type of pace.
The Red Storm are led by guard Julian Champagnie the younger brother of former Pitt star and now Toronto Raptor Justin Champagnie. Champagnie has been outstanding this year for the Red Storm, scoring nearly nineteen points per game while shooting north of forty-two percent from the field. St Johns is scoring nearly eighty points per game, good for one of the best in all of college basketball. Providence has been very good on defense, allowing teams just sixty-four points per game. This will be a fun battle tonight, and something will have to give.
I am going to be backing St Johns tonight as a short favorite. I think this line is telling us the tale, Providence comes into this game as the best team in the Big East, and they are a dog against an 11-8 team who has not looked great as of late? The Public dog will surely be Providence in this one, so I love to fade that in this spot.
I think that if St Johns's can play at the pace, they want to, they hold a big advantage in this game. Providence is a slow-paced team that wants to get into a rock fight and beat you with their style of play. St Johns, however, wants to speed you up and play an NBA type of pace. If St Johns can jump out to a lead in the first half, they will force Providence into playing a quicker style than they want and speed them up on the offensive end. This is a very talented St Johns's bunch who can really heat up from the three-point line. This is a great regression spot for the Friars, and a great get me right spot for the Johnnies at home. I will ride St Johns in this game and trust the line!
