College basketball returns on Tuesday night, and I found a gem of a play for us tonight. The North Carolina Tarheels will take on their rival in the Clemson Tigers. The Tar Heels come into this game off an embarrassing loss to their arch-rival in the Duke Blue Devils. It was one of their worst losses by Carolina in the entire series between the two teams. The fact that they were at home and got embarrassed by Duke has a lot of Carolina fans a bit concerned. This is a team that is currently in the NCAA Tournament, but they will need some more big wins to stay there. They will have a chance to do that tonight with a big road win over this Clemson Tiger bunch.

UNC enters this one playing to the tune of a 16-7 record and will look to steal a road win here. The home team in the Clemson Tigers enters play, supporting an overall record of 12-10 on the campaign. They have been playing a little better the last couple of weeks but they have not been able to get on any type of run this season. This is a team that would need a lot of things to go their way if they wanted a ticket to the March Madness tournament. Big man Pj Hall has led them this season, who is scoring fifteen points per game for the Tigers. Hall, a South Carolina native, has come on the scene quickly for Clemson, showing he can be one of the best players in all of the conference. He will have a tough matchup tonight with a couple of solid big men in Armando Bacot and Brady Manek. The line for this game is currently a pick-em, with Clemson opening as the favorite. 

I will be backing the road team here in North Carolina. I absolutely love this spot for the Heels, who are coming off an embarrassing home loss to Duke. This is the perfect spot for them to bounce back against a Clemson team who really just is not that talented. Hall is a great player, but I think UNC matches up perfectly with this Clemson team. Their big men should be able to limit his looks and make other guys on this Clemson team beat you. North Carolina when right, is one of the better teams in all of the nations on the offensive end.

I do not think that Clemson will have enough firepower to keep up with the pace of this game. This is also a huge game for UNC as they want to get a big road win for their resume. Losing a game like this after getting blown out at home by Duke could cause some trouble for their postseason hopes. I think their big guns step up in this game, including big man Armando Bacot who got into early foul trouble against Duke on Saturday. I will ride the better team in this spot, and I believe they close as a -2 point favorite, so we will get a nice line come game time.
