College Basketball Picks: 2 Best Bets for Tuesday's Games

With a loaded college basketball schedule for Tuesday night, we have two games with our eyes on in particular. The first is another AAC matchup between UCF and Wichita State and the second is a Big Ten rematch between Wisconsin and Michigan State.

This is a very interesting matchup between two very solid defensive teams. Both teams have also struggled on offense this season as well, but Wichita St has struggled a lot more on that end compared to UCF. Wichita St is currently ranked 307th in offensive effective Field Goal percentage, 271st in offensive 2-point percentage, and 302nd in 3-point shooting as a team. UCF has been a much better offensive team this year as they are ranked 97th in overall adjusted offensive efficiency, 65th in offensive rebounding percentage, and 127th in 3-point percentage as a team as they shoot 34.5% as a group. Wichita St makes up for their offensive struggles with their above-average defense, but they have really struggled on the road. They have also played somewhat of an odd schedule as they have only played 4 true road games to this point in the season and haven't won a road game since December 1st. Wichita St also beat UCF in the first matchup this season in a close game that came down to the wire, but Wichita St was able to sneak away with a 5-point victory. In that game, UCF got off to a horrendous start as they were down 22-7 before making a solid comeback to make the game close. In this contest at home, I think they will get off to a much better start and should have a lead going into halftime. With that being said, I am going to back UCF here, but I am taking the 1H ML as they have played very solid in the 1H of their AAC home games.

This is one of the more high-profile games on tonight's slate and for good reason as we get a matchup between 2 ranked teams who are battling for positioning in the big ten title race. In the first matchup between these teams, Michigan State blitzed them on the road and never looked back. Michigan State held an early lead, took a double-digit lead into halftime, and eventually ran away with the game in the second half to secure a solid 12-point win over the Badgers. Wisconsin was 3.5/4-point favorites in the first matchup and now the line has completely flipped by over 8 points as Michigan State is now -4/4.5-point favorites this time around. I think this line flip is a bit of an overreaction to what occurred in the first game between these teams and think there is serious value on the Badgers tonight. One thing that has been intriguing about Michigan State is how sluggish they have been in the opening half of their home games this season. Before their home win over Michigan last week, Michigan State was 0-4 ATS in the 1H of their home games and failed to cover by an average of 7.5 points. I think this is a perfect revenge spot for Wisconsin and expect them to play much better from the opening tip tonight. With that being said, I am taking Wisconsin 1H +2.5 -110
