Arizona vs Washington State Prediction

We have seen so many big upsets this week. So once you see a home team with the chance of pulling off a big upset, you've always got to pay attention.

Currently, Arizona is a National Championship contender. There's no doubt about it. Arizona is shooting an effective field goal percentage of 54.5 percent while earning 36.6 percent offensive rebounds.

The Wildcats are shooting 33.5 percent from deep and 56.9 percent from inside. Plus, Arizona is getting to the line at a high enough rate, hitting 72.4 percent of foul shots.

Defensively, Washington State could force Arizona out of sync. The Cougars, on the other hand, have allowed a 45.2 percent effective field goal percentage while holding teams to 30.1 percent from deep and 45.1 percent from inside the arc this season.

On top of that, Washington State is aggressive enough to where they will force turnovers at 21.3 percent. Rebounding will be a bit of an issue against Arizona and Arizona will get a couple of second chances. However, overall, Washington State should be able to get stops.

On the other hand, Arizona's defense is just as terrific, if not better. The Wildcats are holding teams to under 40 percent from inside the arc while also allowing just 32.1 percent from three this season. Arizona is also limited fouls, which is going to keep Washington State off the foul line.

But just like Arizona, Washington State is earning a high amount of offensive rebounds at 34.6 percent. There's a good chance we see high-level offensive rebounding on both ends of the floor.

The Cougars are also shooting 34.6 percent from outside and 49 percent from inside. But the good thing here is that Washington State will shoot a ton of threes and won't take a ton of contested twos. Arizona feasts off those poor shots, so if Washington State is able to take open long-range shots, the Cougars will have a chance to win this game.

Give me Washington State with the points.
