College Basketball Best Bets: Tail These Two College Basketball Picks on Wednesday

Louisville vs. Miami Prediction

Louisville has been somewhat of a disappointment this year as they had high expectations coming into the season but have not played well up to this point. They come into this game with an 11-13 record and are 5-9 in ACC play. They face off against a Miami FL team who has been the complete opposite of Louisville as Miami has pretty much exceeded all of their expectations. Miami comes into this game with an 18-7 record and are currently 3rd in the ACC with a 10-4 record. They are also coming off a huge come-from-behind win on the road vs Wake Forest and think they will be able to channel some of that momentum into this game. Miami has played exceptionally well in some tough environments this year as they have notched road wins over Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Penn St, and a close loss to Florida St. I really like Miami tonight to continue their momentum, but I like Miami in the 1H of this game because Louisville has also been one of the worst teams in the country this season in 1H scoring margins. Miami should get off to a fast start and go into the break with a halftime lead, so I am rolling with Miami 1H ML.

New Hampshire vs. Vermont Prediction

Vermont has been absolutely dominating their conference lately but suffered a shocking loss on the road vs Hartford in their last outing. They were nearly 12-point favorites in that game, and it was their first American East loss of the season. Even though that was probably their worst game of the year to date, I think this is a really solid bounce-back spot against a weak UNH team. Vermont has done very well on the road this season, especially on conference play and think they will put on an offensive clinic in this game. Vermont is ranked in the top 50 in nearly every major offensive category and think they will have no trouble scoring in this game. They are led by very talented big man, Ryan Davis who can stretch the floor and also bang inside and think he will be a matchup nightmare for UNH. I think Vermont will be highly motivated after their first conference loss of the season and see them coming out strong in this one, so I am rolling with Vermont 1H -4.5 at -105.
