College Basketball Picks: 2 Best Bets for Wednesday's Games

I am back with my college basketball best bets tonight, fresh off a nice sweep and 5-1 overall night on the free CBB last night. Indiana also sold our +750 parlay, which was very annoying, but we still made out with a big night! I have two picks for everyone tonight, and I can’t wait to dive into the slate.

The first game should be the game of the night as the defending champion Baylor Bears travel to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Texas Tech was not expected to be this good this season after head coach Chris Beard left the school to take a job at Texas.

They also saw their best player Kyler Edwards, transfer to Houston, and another star from that team Max McClung go to the NBA. Despite all that, they are right in the thick of things to win a Big 12 title. They are currently in third place, one game behind these Baylor Bears for second in the Big 12.

The leader currently is the Kansas Jayhawks. I will be backing the Baylor Bears tonight as the dog. I think this line is a screamer. Baylor is down their starting center and possibly their best scorer tonight In Lj Cryer and only a 1.5 dog on the road? I love this Baylor team who has a ton of experience across the board and the more talented team. I also love the fact that Tech beat them earlier in the season on the road. This is a great revenge spot for the Bears tonight, who I believe take care of business fairly easily. Give me the dog to kick off our night!

The second play that is going to give us a sweep will concern a battle between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. I typically love to back Rutgers at home, and they have been very good to me doing so, but I’m on full fade mode tonight.

I don’t think Rutgers can match up with Illinois across the board. Illinois is bigger, stronger faster, etc. they are just the much more talented bunch. I love the line we are getting tonight at just a -3 point spread. This is one of the more Square plays I have taken all season, but I’m not overcomplicating things here tonight. I think this is a blowout type of game for the road team and a good time to fade the Rutgers covering at home trend. Give me the Illini tonight!
