Yale vs. Pennsylvania prediction and pick for Friday's college basketball game. Handicapper Jason Radowitz breaks down his favorite pick for this Ivy League showdown

Yale vs. Pennsylvania Prediction: Can Yale Extend Win Streak to 7?

The Pennsylvania Quakers are on a five-game winning streak and it all started with a win against Yale earlier this season. Meanwhile, since losing to the Quakers, the Bulldogs have gone on to win six straight games in league play. Which winning streak will stay alive after tonight.

Here are our picks and predictions for the Ivy League matchup between the Pennsylvania Quakers and the Yale Bulldogs.

Yale vs. Pennsylvania Prediction

Tonight, one team is going to watch a winning streak come to an end. However, the other team is going to continue a hot streak of wins. It's our job to figure out which team will get the job done.

The Pennsylvania Quakers have an effective field goal percentage of 51.2 percent and are clearly the better offense in this game. The Quakers don't turn the ball over often but will struggle to earn rebounds and get to the line. Still, UPenn is shooting 34 percent from deep and 51.4 percent from inside the arc this season, while also hitting 73.3 percent foul shots.

Meanwhile, Yale's defense should outperform that UPenn offense. Yale is holding teams to a 48.3 percent effective field goal percentage while limiting threes to 30.8 percent and twos to 49.6 percent. On the other hand, Yale is only shooting 32.7 percent from deep and 50.4 percent from inside. Inside, Yale should have their way, however, as UPenn is allowing teams to shoot 51.3 percent from inside the arc this season.

Yale won't dominate the offensive glass either, however, should be able to get to the line at a more consistent pace in this game. The Bulldogs are shooting 74.2 percent from the foul line so if this game comes down to the wire, the Bulldogs would be in great shape.

Therefore, I like Yale to get the job done at home. Yale has struggled with Penn in the past and already lost 76-68 earlier this year. However, at home, Yale should be able to shoot at a higher percentage and the defense should be turned up a notch.
