Wake Forest vs. Notre Dame Prediction: Notre Dame Gets Us Right
Here's the thing about college basketball in February. It's like a training camp for me. I need to ease into it. Guys show up to training camp fat and out of shape all the time and go on to have all-pro seasons. Happens every year. Luckily for us, I'm in tip-top form heading into this "training camp". I'm a little fat but nothing to be too concerned about. To combat that, I decided to lay down one of the smartest losses the gambling world has ever seen last night on Northern Kentucky. That loss now throws us in the "due" category and everyone knows that "due" bettors are the most dangerous kind. We're on the verge of a heater like none other and it starts at 1:00 pm ET today.

Notre Dame Team Total Over 31.5 1st Half (-120) (Bet $120 to Win $100)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Tie of Publishing*
This is at DraftKings but you can also bet it at FanDuel. The only difference is FanDuel has 32.5 for -105. It's worth thinking about if you want to cut down on price since it's literally one point. Plus, if Notre Dame covers, it will be because they go for 35+. Just a feeling but I'm staying at DraftKings.
This play is nothing but feel people. That good old pit of your stomach, definitely going to happen type of feeling. Notre Dame has won all five games they've played in February and they are doing it because they are scoring early. They've gone over this number in the first half of four of those five games. The only time they didn't was when they put up 30 against Miami.
If you want stats, let's talk stats (nerd). The Fighting Irish are 54th in the country in effective field goal percentage at 52.9%. Over the last three games, that number has jumped to 56.8%. That's one reason they're averaging 37 points per game in the first half of those three games (math). One of those games was on the road too.
On top of the field goal percentage, we've got pace working for us too. According to KenPom, Wake Forest plays at the 58th fastest pace in the country. That's a far cry from the 288th fastest pace Notre Dame runs. Not only does Wake Forest play fast, but they score too (10th best effective field goal percentage in the country).
I'm thinking we have an iron sharpens iron situation here and that can only mean one thing. Notre Dame scores at least 32 points in the first half today. That's what I'm betting.
