Monday's Best Bets in College Basketball: To the Big Sky We Go
Northern Arizona vs. Southern Utah Prediction
Southern Utah is a relatively new division 1 program, as they just made the jump a few years back, but they have been a very solid team out of the Big Sky conference. This has been due in large part to their highly efficient and fast paced offense. Southern Utah is currently ranked 79th in the country in offensive effective field goal percentage, 50th in 2-point percentage, and just outside the top 100 in lowest turnover rate and adjusted offensive efficiency. In this game, they face a Northern Arizona team who has really struggled on defense this season as they rank near the bottom of their conference in defensive efficiency, defensive turnover percentage, and defensive 2-point percentage so they really struggle to defend at all three levels.
NAU has also really struggled on offense this year as well as they are currently last in the Big Sky in turnover percentage, last in 2-point percentage and are ranked 288th overall in adjusted offensive efficiency. SUU isn't necessarily a stout defensive team, but I think they will be able to force turnovers against a very bad NAU offense. SUU has also played very well on the road this season, particularly in conference play and in the 1H so tonight I am rolling with Southern Utah 1H -3 -110 as one of my most confident college basketball picks of the night.

Oklahoma State vs. Baylor Prediction
Baylor is not as dominant as they were last season but still have a very solid team and have performed well despite numerous injuries. They also come into this game shorthanded as they lost their starting center, JTT, and may also be without LJ Cryer for this game as well. Even though Baylor has some depth concerns due to injuries, I think they are in a very solid spot to bounce back tonight vs an Oklahoma St team who defeated them earlier in the season in a somewhat shocking win. In that game, Baylor simply could not get it going on offense as they only put up 54 points and could not complete the 2H comeback as they gave up a 6-0 run to close the game after closing the deficit to 1 with 1:22 left. Baylor is a team who has performed just as good on the road this season as they have at home and think this is the perfect bounce back spot here tonight.
Oklahoma St. has been very inconsistent lately as they have not won more than 2 games in a row since early November and that has been due to their anemic offense. They only have 2 players that average double figures in scoring and neither of them average more than 12 points per game so OK state is really challenged on the offensive end. Baylor has been running a very tight rotation due to the injuries to Flagler, Cryer, and JTT and while it's not ideal, their offense played very well in their last game vs TCU as they shot 47% from the field and more importantly got to the free throw line 29 times. They attack the rim and think they will be able to do the same vs an Oklahoma St team who is 240th in the nation in highest defensive foul rate. I think Baylor will get off to a strong start here, so I am rolling with Baylor 1H -2 -113 for one of my most confident college basketball picks of the night.
