TCU vs. West Virginia Prediction: Expect a Fast Start From the Horned Frogs

Time for another week to dominate after a great week on the free plays last week! College basketball is really starting to heat up, and this is the best time of the season to make some money. We are approaching conference tournament time, and before we know it, March Madness will begin.

TCU vs. West Virginia Prediction

If you are a college basketball junkie this is the time for you. Tonight, we will have a bubble team in action at home in the TCU Horned Frogs. They will be battling it out against the West Virginia Mountaineers, led by legendary head coach Bob Huggins.

This has been a tough year for West Virginia so far, and they would need a miracle at this point to play in March Madness. West Virginia is coming off a rough home loss to Kansas and will look to reset tonight on the road.

TCU is coming off three consecutive losses, which has hurt their chances for a March Madness berth. Their losses included games against Texas Tech, Iowa State, and Baylor, which would’ve been big wins for their resume.

They have to have a short-term memory tonight and get a much-needed home victory to keep their dreams alive against a bad West Virginia team. The leader for TCU this year has been guard Mike Miles, who is averaging about 15 points per game and is thought to have a future in the NBA. The line for this game is currently sitting at -4, in favor of the Horned Frogs.

The pick I am turning to here tonight is going to be TCU on the first half spread at -2.

This is a big game for TCU at home, coming off three straight losses. This is too big of a game for TCU to come out flat, especially in front of a great home crowd. West Virginia has had serious issues this season when it comes to scoring the basketball and turning it over. TCU is a good enough defense to turn them over and force them into difficult shots. I believe the energy here early on is a better bet than the full game at -4, although I do think that they get home and cover that full game number as well. Look for TCU to play in transition early on and control the tempo of this game. I will be riding with the desperate and more talented team tonight at home to get it done in the first twenty minutes of the game!
