George Washington vs Richmond Prediction: George Washington Gets It Done

Betting games is fun but you also learn stuff every day doing it. Up until today, I thought there was nothing more fun than betting a game at 7:00 pm ET and watching it play out. But I was wrong about that. There is something more fun and that's betting two games at 7:00 pm ET and watching them play out. Obviously, we already have the Western Michigan move just hanging around in our pending bets but I didn't stop there. You have to strive for greatness in this business and while other people may have stopped looking after the Broncos move, I didn't. My work was rewarded too because I found something so easy that the books may have to cease operations out of embarrassment. Crazy times we're living in.

George Washington Team Total Over 31.5 * First Half (-102) (Bet $102 to win $100)

We're at FanDuel here because they have this market for this game. On top of that, they have the best price. We could play this one at DraftKings if we want but if we do that, it will cost us -110. That's not a crazy number but why pay more when you can just pay less. It makes sense when you think about it.

I'd feel better about this one if it was actually on President's Day but what can we do. We don't make the schedule. Plus making George Washington play on President's Day feels like it could be wrong. It might not be but it feels like it could. Still, with the way the Colonials have been playing, I don't think it matters when they play.

Here's the thing about George Washington, they've played six games in the month of February and they've scored at least 33 points in five of those games. The one time they didn't, they could only muster 23 but that was on the road against Dayton. The Flyers play super slow and they also have the 34th best defense in the country according to KenPom. All is forgiven there.

The game tonight is not on the road which is good. In three home games this month, George Washington hasn't scored less than 42 points in the first half of any of them. They just dropped 44 on Rhode Island's 50th best defense in the country. These kids like to show out in front of their friends and classmates.

The Colonials have Richmond tonight who haven't been great defensively all year long. So far this month, they've allowed this number to be covered in two of their three road games. The only time they didn't was last time out against VCU when neither team could hit the ocean if they tried. They still gave up 28 in the first half. If it makes you feel any better, VCU dropped 49 in the second half.

I don't think Richmond can defend the way they need to in a pace up spot like tonight. Given that George Washington is hanging 40-burgers all over people in their building, I'd expect something similar tonight. The beauty is, we only need 32. Feels right.
