Tuesday's Best Bets in College Basketball: Trusting Arkansas Early
Florida vs Arkansas Prediction
Arkansas is probably one of the hottest teams in the nation at the moment as they are playing really good basketball over the last few weeks. Florida is also hitting a stride as they are coming off their biggest win of the season in a nail-biter as they took down top-ranked Auburn.
While both teams somewhat qualify for a letdown spot here, I think Florida is the team who is due for a letdown. Florida has really struggled to score all year as they have a very anemic offense. They are very physical and play solid defense, but they lack a true scoring threat on the offensive end as they typically score by committee.
Arkansas also plays really solid defense but has a much more dynamic offense and will have the best player on the court in JD Notae. Notae is able to create his own shot at all times and is a mismatch nightmare for smaller guards. I think he is going to be the difference maker for Arkansas tonight. Arkansas has started games very well over the past few weeks and with that being said, I am rolling with Arkansas 1H ML at -110 for one of my most confident college basketball picks tonight.
Florida vs Arkansas Pick
- Arkansas 1H ML (-110) (Bet $110 to win $100)
PITT Vs Miami Prediction
PItt is not the same caliber team as they used to be and are having a really bad season. Miami is hitting their stride and has played exceptional in ACC play this season and have a chance for the regular season title if they win out and get some help.
Miami is a team who has really come alive on offense over the past few months, and I just don't think PITT has the offensive firepower to keep up in this game. Miami is currently ranked 19th in the country in overall adjusted offensive efficiency, seventh in lowest offensive turnover percentage, and 48th in offensive effective field goal percentage.
Pitt is 297th in offensive effective FG%, 315th in 2-point percentage, and 324th in offensive turnover rate so they have really struggled to score the whole season. They also have not played well at home as an underdog, particularly in the 1H, as they trailed at the break to VT, Syracuse, NC State, and Virginia in games as home underdogs. I think Miami will get off to a solid start here, so I am rolling with Miami 1H -1.5 at -115 for one of my most confident college basketball picks of the night.
Pitt vs Miami Pick
- Miami 1H -1.5 (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)
