We had a pretty good night last night winning both of the college hoops games easily. The thing is, we can always do better and I have already figured out how. Props to me on that one. Last night, both of our games were at the same time which meant we really only had about a half hour of real action. While it was a fun half hour, there was a little pain knowing that the night was over at 7:30 pm ET. Luckily for me, I was able to watch the Tinder Swindler on Netflix so I was okay but some others weren't as lucky. That won't happen again tonight. I purposely looked into the 8:00 pm ET slate and magic happened when I did. We going until at least 8:30 pm ET tonight people.

Southern Illinois Team Total Over 32.5 * First Half (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)

I wanted to do over 62.5 for both teams in the first half but this felt better. The whole reason I liked the total for both teams is because I think Southern Illinois can drop a 40-burger. If that's the case, why not just open the DraftKings app and take over 32.5 for -115. It just seems smart. Barstool has it for -129 so we're definitely catching a deal here.

As for Southern Illinois, they are scoring the basketball right now. Sure they only put up 32 last time out but that was on the road. Tonight they are at home in front of their friends and everyone knows kids show out in front of their friends. That's just how friends work. I have proof too since the last two times the Southern Illinois kids played at home they dropped 41 and 36 in the first halves of those games.

Tonight they get Illinois State who presents a pace up spot which helps us. Most possessions, more points. That's just science. In the month of February, the Redbirds have allowed at least 33 points in the first half in four of the seven games. One of those was a game against Southern Illinois where they allowed the Salukis to hang a 40-burger on them.

I don't know that Southern Illinois will go all 40-burger again but in that game they shot 44% from three-land. That's definitely higher than the 38.7% they've shot over their last three games but not by much. Illinois State allows opponents to can threes at a 35.2% rate on the road this season so they can be had in that area. At the end of the day, we don't need any records to be set tonight. Just score at least 33 points in the first half. How hard could that be?
