Boise State vs. UNLV Prediction

The Boise State Broncos will take on the UNLV Rebels tonight. Boise State enters play with a 22-6 record, while UNLV enters play sporting a record of 17-11. Boise State looks like a March Madness team at the moment, while the only hope for UNLV will be to win their conference tournament in a couple of weeks.

This is a big game for Boise State as they will need to win these types of games to build up their resume. UNLV will look to play spoiler tonight at home. UNLV features one of the best scorers in all of the nation. Bryce Hamilton has been lights out for the Runnin' Rebels this year, scoring north of twenty-one points per game. Hamilton will be a tough matchup tonight for Boise State as he has been for teams all across the nation this season. The best player for the Broncos has been Abu Kigab, who is scoring north of fourteen points per game. The stage will be set for a good one tonight as Boise comes in a short 1.5-point favorite.

The pick I am turning to for this battle tonight is going to be Boise State on the moneyline.

This is a big game for them at this stage in the season, and I think they match up very well across the board here with UNLV. Boise State is a very good defensive team, one of the best in all of the conference, so I trust that they will have a good plan against Hamilton and this UNLV offense. The first time these teams played, Boise State held UNLV down to scoring just 63 points and shooting 44% from the floor. I expect them to play stronger, with the exception of Hamilton, who had a big game in their first meeting. Despite Hamilton scoring thirty-two points in their first matchup, Boise still won the game, which is an encouraging sign. I am going to trust the better defense tonight and the better overall team in the road favorite. Let’s cash in on another pick tonight!
