Purdue is a team that has won people a lot of money this year. They have a very explosive offense and have 4-5 legitimate scoring threats both inside and out. In the first matchup between these two teams, Wisconsin went into West Lafayette and took down Purdue with a very impressive showing. Purdue was nearly 13-point favorites in that game and now the line is all the way down to -2.5/3 and I think Purdue is being heavily undervalued here. Johnny Davis is an incredible talent for Wisconsin who can go toe-to-toe with Jaden Ivey of Purdue, but I don't think Wisconsin will have an answer for Purdue's post presence inside with Zach Edey, Trevion Williams, and Mason Gillis. In their first matchup, Edey went nuts for 24 points on 10-17 shooting. Wisconsin simply doesn't have anyone who can defend him as Edey has a 4 inch and 60-pound advantage over Wisconsin's largest defender, Steven Crowl. Johnny Davis went off for 37 in their first meeting and as good as Davis is, I just do not anticipate him scoring that many points again. He scored 50% of Wisconsin's points in that contest and only one other player for the badgers was in double figures. I think Purdue get off to a fast start in this game behind the post presence of Edey, WIlliams, and Gillis so I am rolling with Purdue 1H ML -140 for one of my most confident college basketball picks of the night.

Akron has been a very solid team out of the MAC all year and one very peculiar thing about them is that they have seemingly played better basketball on the road compared to at home this season. Akron is 7-4 on the road this season and has led at halftime in their last 5 road games, including an absolute rout of Ohio on the road as 8-point underdogs. In Akron's first matchup with Ball St, they got off to a slow start at home and were trailing by 3 at halftime at 8.5-point favorites. They then stormed back in the 2H tallying 51 second half points to come from behind and win the game, and also covered the pre-game spread as they won 84-74. I think Akron will get off to a much better start on the road tonight as they have all season behind a strong defensive presence and timely 3-point shooting. Akron is also 6th in the country in drawing fouls on offense so I expect them to attack the paint and get to the charity stripe early and often. Ball St is a bad defensive team as they are currently ranked 301st in overall adjusted defensive efficiency, 281st in defensive effective field goal percentage, and 301st in defensive 3-point percentage. Akron should be able to put up a strong offensive performance tonight, especially in the 1H so I am rolling with Akron 1H ML at -135 for one of my most confident college basketball picks of the night.
