St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond prediction and pick for Friday's college basketball game. Handicapper Jason Radowitz breaks down his favorite pick for this Atlantic 10 showdown.
ANALYSIS

St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond Prediction and Pick: Can Richmond Complete the Series Sweep?

The Richmond Spiders will head to St. Bonaventure to conclude the regular season schedule. One of these teams will finish the regular season with 20 wins. The other will have to settle with 19 wins before Atlantic 10 tournament play.

Back on February 4, Richmond defeated St. Bonaventure, winning 71-61. The St. Bonaventure Bonnies only took five foul shot attempts in the entire game. Despite shooting well from the field, St. Bonaventure couldn't keep up due to Richmond's discipline. Here are our picks and predictions for the A-10 matchup between the Richmond Spiders and the St. Bonaventure Bonnies.

St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond Line Movement

St. Bonaventure vs. Richmond Prediction

One of these teams will have 20 regular-season wins. The other won't, but by the time the conference tournament rolls around, both should have at least 20 wins on the season. These two teams are competing for seeding in the top half of the A-10 tournament, so there is plenty at stake.

Richmond has been the better offense. The Spiders have shot a 52 percent effective field goal percentage while only turning the ball over 14.5 percent of the time. From long-range, Richmond has knocked down 34 percent of shots and from inside, the Spiders are hitting 52.8 percent of looks.

The Spiders won't get to the line at a rapid pace, but overall, should be able to shoot at a higher percentage in this game.

Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure has held opponents to 34.5 percent from deep and 49 percent from inside. The Bonnies have earned 19.1 percent turnovers and have also limited offensive rebounds to 26.6 percent while keeping teams off the line. The defense has looked really good and the blocks keep coming from that end.

However, offensively, St. Bonaventure lags a bit. The Bonnies have hit just 32.1 percent from downtown and 50.9 percent from inside. Richmond is really bad at defending the three, but the Bonnies will rarely take three-point shots. They'd rather bang around inside, which is an area that Richmond is better at defending.

St. Bonaventure likely won't see the foul line very much in this game, like the last meeting between these two teams. The Bonnies could end up earning more offensive rebounds, but it would be just a couple more in terms of percentages. Therefore, I like Richmond to win this game or at least cover the +4 spread, by shooting a better percentage from the field.
