Bryant has been a really good story in college basketball for the past 2 seasons as they really emerged last year as one of the best teams in the NEC. They played a tough schedule and nearly pulled multiple upsets and they are loaded again this year. They are led by Peter Kiss who is one of the most talented players in the country. He is averaging nearly 26 points per game and can score from all areas of the court. He is more of a driver and slasher which should open lanes for his teammates as well. Bryant plays at a very fast pace and wants to score fast. Mount St Mary's is the complete opposite in the sense that they want to slow the game down and play both offense and defense in the half-court. I think Bryant will have a lot of success in transition in this matchup and see them jumping out to a fast start here. In their last matchup with MSM, they needed a second-half comeback on the road to pull off a close win. Bryant somewhat underperformed in their first NEC game against CCSU and I think we will see a much more focused and determined effort from the Bulldogs today. Baylor vs. Iowa State Prediction - 6:00 PM ET

This is a very similar spot and situation to the Akron and CMU game last night. In the first matchup, Baylor went on the road and narrowly covered the 1H spread but then Iowa State came out in the 2nd half with a strong effort to cover the full game. I think Iowa State will start fast here as they have actually been very successful on the road in conference play. Some teams will always play better as favorites or as underdogs and Iowa State is a team who always seems to play with a little added juice as underdogs. Baylor has also somewhat struggled as a big favorite this year too as they trailed by 8 to West Virginia at home as 14-point favorites. Iowa State is a really good defensive team and I think they will be able to knock down enough shots to keep this game close early. Iowa State went on the road against Texas Tech, Texas, and TCU and were very competitive in the first half of those games and think they will have similar success again here tonight. With that being said, I am rolling with Iowa St 1H +7.5 at -110 for one of my most confident college basketball picks of the night.
