Wednesday's college basketball prop pick from handicapper John Hyslop focuses on a noon tip between Syracuse and Florida State. Which player prop should you be backing? John breaks it down here
ANALYSIS

College Basketball Prop Pick for Wednesday: Cole Swider Gets Hot

Do you know what we should do today? Gamble. It's the cornerstone of any great day and today is no different. The thing about today is the kids are playing at noon. On ESPN no less. So we could conceivably be at work, pretending like we are working but gambling the whole time. It's the perfect crime if you ask me. Luckily for us, Syracuse plays Florida State in the noon slot today and there is a perfect play on the board. It could be the best I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of plays. What's even better is the fact that we only need to pay attention to one type of score. That's makes it easier to work and gamble at the same time. Just next level stuff right here.

Cole Swider Over 2.5 Made Threes @ +105 (Bet $100 to win $105)

Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing

I went to FanDuel since they have the best number but DraftKings isn't much worse at even money. I wish other books would get into the market on these kids but I only see them on the big two. Maybe Barstool and BetMGM posts closer to tip but I don't check once I make my bets. Who has time for all that?

This is a kid I was just introduced to this morning. Frankly, I'm glad I was because I think we have something here. Originally I wanted to go with his points at 14.5 -105 but after some careful consideration, I've settled on his made threes at plus money. It just feels right.

Syracuse really only has four guys that will shoot the ball. Literally four guys have taken 300+ shots for them this season. The closest after that is a kid that took 120 but he has a broken wrist now and won't play today. All we have to do is pick the right one which is harder than it seems.

To make it a little easier, I figure we should just go after threes and only three of the four Syracuse scorers shoot threes regularly. One of them Is Cole Swider and that's who I like today. Florida State's defense begs you to take threes which is why opponents averaged 24 three-point attempts per game against them (294th in the country). The Seminoles also don't defend the three-point line well as they allowed their enemies to hit 36.8% from back there this season (320th in the country).

Swider is the one I think will take the advantage of this the most. He doesn't want any smoke inside against these guys and he can drill the trey (41% on the season). In both games against the Seminoles this season he took at least seven tries from downtown and hit at least four in each contest. What's even better is the fact that he went 1-6 in the first half of one of the games and still kept shooting from out there finishing 4-13 on the night. That's hero stuff right there. I think we can trust him.
