Missouri took control of things early in Mississippi in their first meeting. They took out the Rebels in a blowout win with a score of 78-53. Missouri shot 62.7 percent on the court while out-rebounding the Rebels 40 to 26. Ole miss shot an awful 34.4 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from the three. The crowd was stunned walking into the Pavilion in Ole Miss as 7 point favorites and losing by a total of 25 points to a very under-performing Missouri Tiger team early in the season.

On February 12th, the Rebels traveled to Missouri in hopes that they would get their revenge after being embarrassed on their home court by the Tigers a little less than a month before. Although it was a close game the whole way out, the Tigers pull away in the last few minutes in the game as we have seen the home team do plenty of times this season and complete the season sweep on the Rebels.
