The Seton Hall Pirates only defeated the Georgetown Hoyas by four points last night. Georgetown showed some heart but ultimately, Seton Hall didn't play all that well either. However, with a game under its belt, Seton Hall should be more cool, calm, and collected for its quarterfinal game against the UConn Huskies. UConn earned a bye and will play its first game of the tournament tonight, against Seton Hall in the late-night game. Both of these two teams split with one another in the regular season. Nobody cares how you win the game. You just have to win. That's what the Pirates did last night. Seton Hall defeated Georgetown and now gets an opportunity to take on the UConn Huskies in the quarterfinals. The Pirates' chances of making the NCAA Tournament are still very much alive. The Pirates are shooting just 33.2 percent from deep and 46.6 percent from inside the arc this season. The Pirates aren't the best shooting team in the nation, however, they absolutely dominate the glass, earning 32.8 percent of offensive rebounds. The Pirates also limit turnovers to just 17.4 percent on the season.

Connecticut has been solid on the defensive end, despite allowing 34.5 percent. Inside, the Huskies are elite, allowing opponents to shoot just 42.8 percent from inside the arc. S Right now, Seton Hall has struggled to score inside the arc and with the way UConn has played defensively inside, the struggles will more than likely continue. Defensively, the Huskies are allowing 27.7 percent offensive rebounds, which is just average. Another average state for Connecticut is that the Huskies are only averaging 18.1 percent of turnovers. The defense has its good moments and bad moments. But on the offensive end, Connecticut has really improved this year.

Plus, the Huskies aren't all that bad inside, scoring 48.4 percent of shots. However, after breaking it all down, Seton Hall is still the better defense, as the Pirates are holding opponents to a 45.5 percent effective field goal percentage. Opponents have hit just 31 percent from three and 45 percent from inside the arc. In two games this season, Seton Hall has kept it close. The Pirates can do that again tonight.
