Davidson vs Fordham Prediction: Foster Loyer Gets Wild

Today is where the proverbial men are separated from the boys people. In our quest to be ready for next week's tournament, Friday is the most important day. Why? Because anyone can gamble all day on a Thursday. But can they do it all again on Friday? That's a good question. Yesterday I paced myself and it wasn't easy. I'll admit, my eyes and brain were a little bit tired for the Oklahoma vs Baylor game. And that was only the 7:00 pm ET game. It just proves that we're smart to stretch ourselves out before the real thing next week. And if we're truly stretching ourselves out, we'll need action for a noon game today. Luckily for us, I've got the perfect move for the Davidson vs Fordham game.

Foster Loyer Over 16.5 Points (-110) (Bet $110 to win $100)

FanDuel looks like they will be along shortly with a line on this kid but for now DraftKings is the only show in town. Obviously, we want plus money moves like the three-ball plays we've been doing but a -110 bet isn't the end of the world. You only have to hit 52% of those to break even so that's not bad.

I'll be honest, Loyer is the exact kind of kid I like to bet in college. He's listed at six feet tall but there is no chance he really is. I don't even have to measure him. I eyeballed it and something stinks about the kid measuring department at Davidson. But even though we can't trust him to tell us how tall he is, I still think we can count on him to get us some buckets.

This kid could sneak into any pickup game in the world and surprise them. He doesn't look like much but he can shoot the lights out. We're talking 45% from three-land here people. Not only that, but he hit 93.5% of his free throws this season too. He's literally a shorter version of JJ Redick. Just filthy.

He's flying under the radar a little because he got hurt back on Valentine's Day. It was a shame too because he was scoring all over people before the injury. In fact, he scored at least 16 points in each of the five games before going down. It was truly a sad, sad event.

But as any great college hoops story goes, Loyer came back. Not just any kind of back, but all the way back. We call it being "back-back" on the streets. The kid dropped 25 against Dayton in his return on March 5th. He took 13 shots too so his role as the alpha still checks out.

Bet $10, win $200 if EITHER TEAM hits a 3-Pointer

Today he gets a team in Fordham that plays good defense but can you really defend a hot shooter. Before you say yes, keep in mind that Dayton is 41st in the country in defense according to KenPom. Even if Fordham can kind of keep Loyer in check, there's a good chance we'll see him shoot some free throws at the end of this one since I think Davidson wins. This could end up being the greatest bet of all time.
