Saint Louis vs St. Bonaventure Prediction: Gibson Jimerson Fills It Up
Anyone will tell you that if you want college hoops to be more fun to watch, you can just bet on it. Gambling on sports makes the games at least 5x more fun to watch and that's just a conservative estimate on my part. I haven't even crunched the numbers on that. It could be even higher. The reason I bring this up is because Saint Louis will be taking on St. Bonaventure at 2:30 pm ET today on USA.
At first glance, this game is a hard pass for anyone who didn't attend one of the schools. But we're smart enough to know that all we have to do is bet the game and instantly it becomes an event. That's just how we live. On top of all that, watching this game will help us get USA in the channel rotation which could become important at some point in the future. We're playing 4-D chess right here people.

Gibson Jimerson Over 14.5 Points (-110) (Bet $110 to win $100)
We're at DraftKings for this one because FanDuel still hasn't released points for this game. The odd part is you can bet rebounds and assists but not points. That's crazy. Still, it's worth checking there before tip-off to see if anything has been updated. We could even get a 20+ number for a ridiculous price. That would be sweet.
I'd be lying if I said this kid's name isn't pure fire. Definitely a name I'd use if I was creating a player on a video game. And not just a role player either. You don't waste a name like this on a roll player. This one is a primary scorer for sure since it has a real Jimmer Fredette feel which is what we're looking for out of a scorer. Just A+ stuff here by his parents.
The thing about Jimerson is he is the top dog for the Billikens. If they have any shot whatsoever today, he will have to be good. The thing is, he's a kid so this thing could go either way. I think we can trust him though. He seems legit.
The thing I like most about Jimerson (besides his name) is the fact that he's not afraid to shoot. We all know you can't score if you don't shoot. That's just a fact. On the season, he took 393 attempts from the field while no one else on the team took more than 279. We've got our alpha people.

But we know that shooting the ball is only half of the equation since we need the ball to go in the basket. We're good there too since Jimerson has scored at least 19 points in each of his last three games. He only played 27 minutes in one of those games so hats off to him for that. I'd expect minutes in the upper 30s today.
St. Louis played St. Bonaventure twice this season and while Jimerson didn't go over 14.5 both times, he did once which is all we need him to do today. If we're being honest, he was probably just nervous the first time. He's just a kid after all. He lit them up for 17 the second time around and I think he may go for even more today.
