It is finally time for March madness! The day is finally here, and we have two great games today. The game I want to get into is going to be an affair between the Indiana Hoosiers representing the Big Ten and the Wyoming Cowboys repressing the Mountain West.
These teams both played in tough conferences this season and did enough to get into this position tonight. The bottom line here is that these are two very good basketball teams. Indiana is typically considered one of the best college basketball schools of all time. They have a deep tradition of playing this time of year and have enjoyed a lot of success along the way.

The Hoosiers will be making appearance number forty in March Madness. That is good for sixth all-time, and they will be looking to add more than just a March Madness appearance. Head coach Mike Woodson has come in and done a great job with this Hoosiers roster. The Wyoming Cowboys, who finished dead last in their conference in 2019, have been a shock to the league this year.

The Cowboys will be making their sixteenth March Madness appearance and first since 2015. This is just their third appearance as a team since 1988. The last time Wyoming won a national championship was 1943 when they took down the Georgetown Hoyas 46-34. This season the best player on Wyoming comes in the form of big man Graham Ike. Ike, a native of Colorado, has been outstanding this year, scoring 19.6 points per game which is good for thirtieth in the nation. He is also top twenty in rebounds, ripping down 9.6 per game. Hunter Molando is also a name to watch tonight as the offense will often go thru the senior guard who is scoring north of eighteen points per game.
Star big man Trayce Jackson-Davis has led Indiana. Jackson-Davis, who has second-team all-big ten and first-team all-big ten defense, is a matchup nightmare for opposing coaches. He is one of the best post players in the nation and will be heard from tonight. Junior guard Xavier Johnson will have to step up with a big game tonight; when he is on, this is a tough Indiana team to knock off.

The play I am turning to tonight is going to be to back the Hoosiers. I honestly do not think this game will be all that close due to the match-up advantages for Indiana. Indiana is one of the better defenses in all of the nation, and this is a very one-dimensional Wyoming team. They look to post up Molando often and work out of those sets. I believe Indiana will show a ton of doubles tonight on Molando, and Jackson Davis will be able to handle Ike. Wyoming has really struggled to score when they have faced great defenses this year and will struggle to find flow tonight. I also expect Trayce to be able to get Ike into foul trouble early in the game. The way Indiana was playing in the conference tournament shows how dangerous this team is. I think Indiana wins this game and eventually sneaks their way to the sweet 16. Defense wins games this time of year and will tonight.
