March Madness Friday Picks: Delaware vs Villanova, Miami vs USC, and More

Who knows what will happen in Quad One of Friday but one thing we do know is that the games are just going to keep coming. All that means is we keep firing. The second four-pack of games will test our will. Will we fold or will we respond to the challenge? I like to think we will respond. We've made it this far, we can finish. After these games are finished, we should see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel as they will only be the night games left in the first round. Who can't get up for a Friday night of games to bet? We sure as hell can. But before we get to the night games, we have to conquer the afternoon. Don't worry, I'm on it.

2:45pm ET - Delaware/Villanova Under 133.5 (-110) (Bet $110 to Win $100)

*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*

I didn't want to start this quad with an under but I think that's the move here. First off, the Wildcats are very good defensively and they play super slow. Normally that is something to look into but after I did, I found out that Delaware isn't the team that will make Villanova run. They're are the exact opposite. They play slow and they won't be able to score (probably). This looks like a 70-50 type game and if we're honest I won't even watch it after the next game tips.

If EITHER TEAM hits a 3-Pointer in Delaware vs Villanova, you'll win $200

3:10pm ET - Isaiah Mobley 15+ Points (+106) (Bet $106 to Win $100)

*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*

I know it's a player prop and everyone can't get player props but what do you want me to do? Some people can (including me) and I legit can't find anything in this game to bet. I have no idea who is going to win or how many points they will score. It's bad. One thing I do know is this Isaiah Mobley kid could feast against Miami. The Hurricanes are just small. They're good but small. If I was in charge at USC, I would simply give the ball to Mobley every single time down the floor until he either scores or gets the Sam Waardenburg kid into foul trouble. Once that happens, obviously, keep giving him the ball. Mobley has proven he can go 20+ in the right matchups and this is the right matchup.

4:15pm ET - Notre Dame +3 (+105) - (Bet $100 to Win $105)

*Odds available at DraftKings Alt-Line at time of publishing*

If you believe in magic, then this one is for you. That Notre Dame win over Rutgers was about as lucky as you can get. For starters, they can shoot. If you can shoot, then you can make up for poor defense. The thing is, they are just as good as Alabama is on defense. On top of that, Alabama is in terrible form after losing their last three games. They've given up 80+ in all three and it's partly because they allowed those teams to shoot 37.1% from three-land. Guess who can splash threes? Notre Dame. They're almost top 20 in the country in that metric. If they're on, they will win this game straight up.

Bet $5 on Notre Dame vs Alabama and win $200 if your team wins

4:30pm ET - Virginia Tech/Texas Over 57 *1st Half (-112) (Bet $112 to Win $100)

*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*

This goes against all logic which makes it perfect in every way. People are going to say that these are two of the slowest paced teams in college hoops. Those people are right. They both play insanely slow. The thing is, you don't have to play fast to score 57 points in the first half of a college basketball game. In fact, the last five Texas games have seen at least 57 points in the first half. Two of those games were against slow-ass TCU. On the other side, the last five VTech games have all gone over 57 in the opening half. They were against some pretty fast-paced squads but still. I think this comes down to the wire and the only thing I regret about it is the fact that we will be waiting around for the later slates since this will be over at around 5:15pm ET.
