March Madness Friday Picks: Loyola Chicago vs Ohio State, Jacksonville State vs Auburn, and More

One of the smartest things you can do in life is to put your Friday bets for the NCAA Tournament in before your Thursday bets conclude. Why? Because you don't need a bad Thursday ruining a good Friday. Conversely, you don't want a good Thursday making a bad Friday even worse. A one-size-fits-all hammer is all that's needed on all of it people. Just go nuts but go the same sized nuts on everything. Lucky for us, I already went through the early games on Friday and smashed. It could be really good or really bad but it will be equally really good or really bad as Thursday's slates. That's just how betting every game works people. Equality for all games is what I'm about.

I feel like we could be going to hell for going against Sister Jean but sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in. For starters, this isn't the Chicago Loyola team from last year. Last year, they had the nation's second-best defense according to KenPom. That's crazy. They beat Ayo Dosunmu and Illinois for God's sake. They don't have the defense this time around people. Ayo would kill them this year and so would E.J. Liddell. The problem is, they actually have to play Liddell. At the time of writing, there are no props for Liddell or else I'd take him to score 100 points. We'll just have to settle for the Buckeyes to win.

12:40pm ET - Jacksonville State Team Total Over 28.5 (+100) First Half (Bet $100 to Win $100)

This seems crazy at first but so did fire. Look at the run that has had. We use it to cook, heat our homes and even have what's called "controlled burns". Extraordinary stuff. Now Jacksonville State isn't going to have the run fire has had (who could) but I think a first-half run isn't out of the question. Everyone is going to say that they only scored 51 points in their last game and those people are right. That happened. But that was against a Jacksonville team that plays stupidly slow. Auburn doesn't. They stunt all over the place too. I bet we see a free-flowing type first half before the Tigers finally put Jacksonville State down. At the end of the day, 29 points is not a lot to ask and Darian Adams could do it himself.

1:45pm ET - Xavier Bishop Over 3.5 Assists (+116) (Bet $100 to Win $116)

I think we're looking at a bloodbath here. Just a beating for the ages. Texas Tech is just better. Like in every single aspect of the game better. The thing is, this is March. We shouldn't doubt the kids. Why can't Montana State play with Texas Tech? (Other than the fact that Texas Tech is just better.) There has to be a way to play this and I think I found it. As a matter of fact, I know I found it. The Red Raiders are the kind of team that you have to work to score on. On the season, more than half of their opponents' field goals were assisted. This Bishop kid is going to be on the floor all day and he's only 5'8" on his tippy toes. He's a baller though and he'll find a way for his team to put the ball in the basket. He could get this in the first half.

I know it's an under but damn it we need some plus money stuff on this slate. Look at the ones before this one. We've got a -110 move for Christ's sake. The thing about this one is Purdue might crush Yale. Nothing against smart kids but these aren't the greatest at basketball. They qualified for the tournament which is huge. Hats off to them for that because it's hard but they figured it out. They're smart kids. Now they play a team in Purdue that can score on anyone. The thing is they don't go very fast and if they can slow the pace down, Yale is dead. I think this is a 74-58 type game with a real sweat at the end.
