Saturday March Madness Late Picks: UCLA vs. Saint Mary's, Murray State vs. Saint Peter's, and More
This could be the greatest night of our gambling lives people. I'm serious too. It's going to be glorious. We've got four games with three of them going on at once which is always cool. More is better. On top of that, the straggler game at 9:40 pm is probably the best of the bunch. It's the perfect Saturday night option since we have the choice of watching if we're winning and just going to bed if it goes south. On top of that, it's almost time to start doing an inventory on just how bad the first weekend of the tournament was in terms of bankroll. I think when we factor in all the fun we had, we'll likely be up but that's for later. What we need to think about now is what we are betting Saturday night.

7:10 pm ET - St. Mary's -1 (+120) (Bet $100 to Win $120)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*
Bet $5 on UCLA vs St Mary's and win $200 if your team wins
I am a St. Mary's guy now. After watching them against Indiana, I don't even know that there is a team that can beat them in this tournament. We're talking everybody. Don't even say Gonzaga because they already beat them this season. They beat the brakes off of Indiana in the first round and we don't even know if Indiana stinks. They looked alright on Tuesday night when they took care of Wyoming 66-58. The other half of this is we don't know this is UCLA from last year. They were magic during their run. The kind of magic that isn't sustainable. I honestly think St. Mary's wins by way more than one point on Saturday.
7:45 pm ET -Murray State/Saint Peter's Over 132 (+110) (Bet $100 to Win $110)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*
This seems pretty dumb but I think it's dumb enough to work. Every stat says the Saint Peter's offense stinks but they get easy baskets. Just go back and watch that Kentucky game. On the season more than half of their shots came at the basket and the same thing happened in the first round when they hung 71 on the Wildcats in regulation. I think the same type of game could break out against Murray State. I'm not saying we're getting 150+ here but the last time Murray State went under this number it was because they held Belmont to 43 points. I seriously doubt that happens Saturday.
8:40 pm ET - New Mexico State/Arkansas Over 140 (+105) (Bet $100 to Win $105)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*
I don't know why I love this one so much but that's why I'm so confident. This is one of those no man's land games where they can't really set a total. Who knows which version of these teams shows up? The thing is, New Mexico State will probably fall in line with Arkansas' pace and when that happens, the scoreboard should light up. We just saw them drop 70 on a tired UConn team. I'm not saying they'll win this game, but I think at the right pace, New Mexico State could surprise us. I think they score enough to push this one over.
9:40 pm ET - Gonzaga -13 (+150) (Bet $100 to Win $150)
*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*
Bet $5 on the MONEYLINE for Gonzaga and win $200 if they win
This might be the play of the century. The books want you to think that Memphis is good but here's the deal. They aren't. There is no chance the Lomax kid will be 100% for this game. In the second half of round one, the Tigers looked like a shell of themselves. If and when they get into half-court sets they will be in trouble. They can't score. Especially against a team like Gonzaga. The haters will say they got pushed a little by Georgia State but they won that game by 21 points. Imagine people saying you're not that good because of a game that you won by 20+. That's crazy. I think we get put on notice two ways here. By Memphis being bad and Gonzaga being good. I think this will be a beatdown.
