UCLA vs. Saint Mary's Player Prop: Drink the Juice on This UCLA Parlay With Jules Bernard
UCLA was an all-time cinderella team last year when they were a Jalen Suggs 40-foot bank shot away from the national title game. Head Coach Mick Cronin led the Bruins from the First Four to the Final Four in only his second season in Los Angeles. This year, the team had little to no turnover. 92.7% of the Bruins' minutes logged this season are from guys who are returning from last year's run. Let's see if they can rekindle that same magic again this March.

I love the value we're getting on Jules Bernard here. He's one of the three or four most important players on the Bruins and he's the best perimeter defender on the team. In these tournament games where the tempo slows down and the games have the potential to get ugly, Bernard is a guy that Mick Cronin will trust.
UCLA has now played 11 combined Pac-12 tournament and NCAA tournament games over the last two seasons. Bernard has played 33.8 minutes per game across these contests, which is when the most has been at stake for Cronin's squad. He logged 36 minutes in UCLA's first-round win over Akron, and he should be in for a similar workload this evening.

The "Jules Bernard Special" parlay has hit in 27/33 games this season, good for a hit rate of 81.8%. This is even better than last season's hit rate of 71.9% (23/32 games) on this parlay. But, let's take a look at those 11 tournament games again. Bernard is averaging 6.3 RPG and 1.8 APG in these do-or-die games for the Bruins. And most importantly, this parlay is 11 for 11 in tournament games.
When Bernard sees 30+ minutes of action, he's finished with 3+ Rebounds and 1+ Assist in 17 of 20 games this season. He got the job done in 15 of 18 games with 30+ minutes of action last season. And, if that doesn't make you feel good enough, he's hit in 10 consecutive games heading into today's matchup against St. Mary's.
It's clear that Jules is on the shortlist of guys that Mick Cronin trusts on both ends of the floor, and he should be locked into over 30 minutes of playing time tonight (as long as he stays out of foul trouble). I'm trusting the senior wing to get the job done in this Round of 32 contest.
